Something funny from the dinner table

Okay so it goes like this. My brother is the Christian rock kind of guy. He listens to the likes of Reliant K and Hawk Nelson. I on the other hand am more of a down home country type and listen to the likes of Johnny Cash and George Strait. Okay that said, I was making candles today with the wax that the Paul's gave us..., was plesantly surprised at the taste and offered some to the family. We love to chew on beeswax and enjoyed it very much. At the diner table we brought up the subject of the wax again, so I asked my bro, hey Ben did you taste the wax? It's really good! My youngest bro pipes up "He'll listen to a Johnny Cash cd before he eats BEESWAX!!!! Lol! Classic. Oh, and did I mention Ben HATES country music????? I love him anyways, even when he tries to turn off my music!

Snowing!

It's been a long time eh?
Well, we won the Grey Cup, with no time left on the clock in a thrilling, scary, nail-bitting game.We had our victory parade, and now all the players have gone back home. It is sooooo incredible, after seven loooooong years, we FINALLY won!!!!

Today we are getting our first snowfall of the season, 30cm worth. It started sometime early this morning. I was hoping that the school where I work would be canceled, but it was the next best thing, a half day. The snow it still falling quite rapidly, maybe school will be canceled tomorrow....

Hi folks!

Finally, I have a blog! Some of my blogger buddies have pestered me about it, and here it is.

You might be sorry though. It is Grey Cup Week, and I am as some of you might know, I am a die-hard Alouettes fan. The Grey Cup is Sunday, but the jitters started Tuesday. I was at the Division Final game last Sunday, SCREAMING my lungs out for my team. And it worked! You wouldn't believe the feeling of accomplishment that you get from screaming when the other team is on offence, and then because the building is SOOOOO loud, they fumble or turn the ball over! Oh it's just great! It was an incredible game. We won of course, but was wasn't expected, is tht we SMASHED the BC Lions! The final score:56-18.

Our boys are in Calgary now getting ready to take on the Rough Riders. We've beaten them both times this season, but the "Big Dance" is always a different game then the regular season. Somehow I think I'm taking off next Wednessday for a parade! I have a good feeling about this game, even though I am nervous!
